Ho to get to Bormio by car, plane or public transports.

From Sud:

From Nord:
From Landeck (A) direction St. Moritz (CH) to Zernez (CH) - Fuorn Pass direction - Tunnel Munt La Schera (ticket must be paid) - Italian customs Passo del Gallo - Livigno - Eira Pass - Foscagno Pass - Bormio

From Zurich (CH) - Landquart (CH) direction Klosters - Tunnel Vereina (Zernez - Fuorn Pass direction - Tunnel Munt La Schera (ticket must be paid) - Italian customs Gallo Pass - Livigno - Eira Pass - Foscagno Pass - Bormio

From Zurich (CH) - Landquart (CH) - Chur (CH) Thusis - Tiefencastel - Julier Pass - St. Moritz Bernina Pass - Tirano - Bormio.

 

By train
Tirano is the closest train station, just half an hour of easy drive from Bormio. In Tirano you can find 3 stations: Italian Railways, Rhb Rhaetian Railway (Trenino Rosso), and the bus station.

A bus line service is available from Tirano to the Bormio area and back. Connections coincide with most of the trains.

By plane
From Sud:
The nearest international airports are Milan Linate (200 km - 3 hours from Bormio), Milan Malpensa (250 km - 3,5 hours) and Bergamo Orio al Serio (190 km - 3 hours).

The main international airports useful to get to Bormio are Zurich (207 km from Bormio) and Munich (312 km)

 

By bus
A bus service connects Bormio to the Tirano railway stations and serves the whole area.

During the holiday season, Bormio has a direct connection with the main airports thanks to a bus service (reservation required).
