The world skiing phenomenon, the undisputed leader of the overall World Cup, literally dominated Bormio Super-G with a super performance at a beautiful Stelvio, which was even more icy than yesterday and forced the jet-men to push close to the limit. Marco Odermatt showed all his crystalline class by dominating Stelvio for the first time.
The Swiss champion brings home the best time 1'29"27. Watching this extraordinary athlete ski at Stelvio today, was like listening to a symphony. He’s going to write pages in the history of alpine skiing. No one could beat him today. The only one who tried to is Austrian Vincent Kriechmayr, yesterday's DH winner, with a gap of +0”64. Third place was a surprise. Swiss Loic Meillard jumped on the first podium of his Super-G career. Perhaps he himself was surprised of his +1"22 behind the teammate. Fourth place for Austrian Daniel Hemetsberger (+1"36) and fifth place for French Alexis Pinturault (+1"40.) Canadian Crawford (+1"51), Swiss Rogentin (1"54), Kilde (+2”15), Babinsky (+2”20), and Gino Caviezel (2”26) follow.
