Bormio will host the next Winter Olympics
Bormio is a renowned ski resort in the heart of the Stelvio National Park. It is known by all mountain lovers not just for the kilometers of slopes, the millenary thermal waters, and the beauties of its historic center, but also for regularly being the host of international sporting events.
Bormio has been the site of:
- two editions of the Alpine Ski World Championships, in 1985 and in 2005;
- two World Cup finals, in 1995 and 2008, and,
- the men's downhill World Cup since 1993
Another important date for the location was undoubtedly June 24, 2019, when Bormio - within the broader context of Milan - Cortina - was chosen as the site for the next 2026 Winter Olympics.

Bormio will play a central role in the organization of the Winter Games and its undisputed protagonist will be the legendary Pista Stelvio, terrain fot the men's alpine skiing races.
The most technical and difficult slope of the World Cup races, loved by professionals and amateur skiers, will make a trip around the the news of the world.

Waiting for Milano Cortina 2026
To celebrate the Olympic dream that came true, more than 1500 people gathered in "Piazza del Kuerc" - the beating heart of the town - on September 1, 2019. More that 1500 people gathered in Kuerc Square for a flash mob that went instantly viral.
A unique and spectacular choreography that enchanted all those present and beyond. A perfect day, which really excited everyone and which will undoubtedly remain the best Welcome to the Olympics!
